Rocky Mountain National Park

We had been here almost 10 days and I needed to get into the mountains. Dave rented a car ($30 for the week through State Farm ins.) and we made our way into RMNP.

One of my favorite parts is the awe-inspiring drive through the Big Thompson River Canyon. The heights of these rocky cliffs are mind-blowing and breath-taking! They fill your windshield that you can barely see the sky.

As the sun was getting closer to the horizon that night, the hills were that perfect silhouette of shades of blue and purple. It was so stunning.
